This arrangement has a shaft and bearings supporting an overhung impellor. The bearings and shaft are outside of the airstream. The hub of impellor protrudes from the casing. The motor is mounted onto an adjustable plate which is in turn mounted onto 4 screwed rods. The drive guard and adjustable plate bolt directly onto the pedestal. The fan is shown mounted onto an optional channel base. The channel base comes in 2 variants, one with outriggers and one without. Outriggers enable easy drilling of foundation holes without having to mark and then move the fan.

There is a bung welded to the drive side of the casing, maximum air temperature is 380ºC (70mm bung) – 450ºC(100mm bung). The casing is split horizontally (discharge angles allowing) to aid impellor removal. The impellor can be also be removed from inlet side, but not from the drive side. The motor however needs to be protected from any heat by the customer.
