This arrangement has an impellor directly mounted onto the motor shaft. The motor is outside of the airstream. The hub of impellor protrudes from the casing. The fan is usually monted on its inlet flange, but can also be mounted from its discharge flange.
Maximum air temperature is 200ºC . The impellor can be removed from inlet side only, this casing type is used for where only the airstream parts are required to be stainless steel or for ATEX classification fan
